Marshside Blues

One of my largest paintings to date, Marshside Blues (48x60 inches, oil on canvas) is an exploration of color and perspective. I wanted to portray the feeling of standing in the tidal waters at the marsh’s edge, looking over the spartina towards neighboring islands in the distance. This piece features many blues, greens, and yellows, under a rosy clouded sky. I love the marsh and I wanted to paint from a non-traditional point of view. Currently on display at Carolina Fine Art, in Cotswold Village across from Carmen Carmen Salon, Charlotte, NC.
